Recently, our factory finished producing a corn silage baling machine, which has now been successfully shipped to a client in South Africa. This project showcases our dedication to addressing the varied needs of agricultural producers and the increasing demand for effective silage production.

Client background and needs

The client, a leading corn grower in South Africa, focuses on collecting and processing crop residues, especially corn stalks. The silage made from these residues is essential for providing high-quality feed to various livestock operations, such as dairy farms, beef cattle ranches, goat farms, and other livestock production units.

The client’s goal was to improve their feed preservation techniques to enhance nutritional value and shelf life, ultimately benefiting the health and productivity of their livestock.

To meet the client’s needs, we developed a versatile machine that features a dual-purpose motor for both net and twine wrapping. This adaptability enables the client to select the most suitable method for their specific silage needs, thereby boosting their operational efficiency.

Features and benefits of corn silage baling machine

The machine created for our South African client includes a range of innovative features aimed at enhancing silage production.

Size and capacity

This machine can produce bales that measure 550mm in diameter and 520mm in width, making it ideal for a variety of livestock feeding needs.

Advanced control system

Featuring a PLC control cabinet, the machine automates essential tasks like film cutting and leading, which streamlines operations and minimizes the need for manual labor.

Comprehensive package

In addition to the corn silage baling machine, we also provide extra equipment, including a small trolley for easy transport, an air compressor, and a toolbox for maintenance. The package comes with 15 rolls of wrapping film, 4 rolls of netting twine (22cm in diameter, 2000m in total length), and one roll of 2500m hemp rope, along with various spare parts to support ongoing operations.

By successfully delivering silage balers to South Africa, meeting customer’s specific needs, and providing machines that combine versatility, efficiency, and durability, we are contributing to the advancement of livestock feeding practices in the region.
